I was intrigued by this gold saloon car on a well know auction website as I was not familiar with the make and indeed could not decide what model of car it was supposed to be from the pictures.

I don’t think the vendor knew either as they had just listed it as a Polfi-Toy which is all that it has on the base. The only way to satisfy my curiosity was to buy it and have a closer look so I did and now I have it here I think it’s an Audi 100 C2.
I have not found very much information about Polfi-Toy other than it is a Greek maker and they also made an Opel Monza and BMW 6 series in the same range which I am on the lookout for now although the model of the Monza looks extremely shoddy!
This Audi is in a similar size to a Matchbox car and looks good in side profile but the door fit is terrible and the execution of the front and rear are crude to say the least. The base is cast metal with some detail and gives the car some weight, though not a feeling of quality. The pink glazing is an odd choice too.
There are a few pictures of some of the other Polfi-Toy cars online but I did not find any other images or reference to an Audi 100.
